CITY OF HUGO ORDINANCE NO. 2003-370 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AMENDING CHAPTER 219 OF THE HUGO CITY CODE ENTITLED "PARKING AND LOADING AREAS" BY ADDING SECTION 219-16 The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County, Minnesota, does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. The City Code of the City of Hugo is hereby amended by amending Chapter 219, Parking and Loading Areas, to add Section 219-16 to read as follows: Section 2. Section 219-16: In order to expedite the prompt and efficient removal of snow from the streets of the City it is unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park any vehicle or trailer or permit the same to stand on any street within the City between the hours of 2:00 o'clock a.m. and 7:00 o'clock a.m. from November 1 until March 31 of the following year. At all times of the year it is unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park any vehicle or trailer or permit it to stand on any public street within the City between the hours of 2:00 o'clock a.m. and 7:00 o'clock a.m. after a continuous or intermittent snowfall during which there has been an accumulation of two (2) inches or more of snow on any street until the snow has been plowed or removed to the full width of the street. In addition to the foregoing, at all times it shall be unlawful for any person to park any trailer on any street within the City for in excess of 72 hours. Section 3. Any vehicle parked in violation of these sections more than two times in ay 30 -day period may be towed pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 169.041. Violation of this section shall constitute a petty misdemeanor and be punishable solely by a fine of $35.00. . Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in effect upon its passage and publication according to law.
