Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for January 6,2015 <br /> Page 6 of 10 <br /> Approve Thursday.April 16.2015 as Annual Board of Anneal & Equalization Meeting <br /> Each year,Council meets as the Board of Appeal and Equalization with the sole purpose of <br /> providing Hugo residents and business owners an opportunity to appear personally in front of the <br /> Board to discuss their property market valuations. Washington County Assessor Bruce Munneke <br /> has selected Thursday,April 16,2015 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. as the date and time on which to <br /> hold the meeting. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the date for the Board of Appeal <br /> and Equalization meeting for April 16,2015. <br /> Approve Cancellation of Contract with Jani-King and Approve Contract with MN Services <br /> for Cleaning City Hall <br /> City Hall has received a proposal from MN Services to clean City Hall at a lower rate than the <br /> City's current cleaner,Jani-King. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the cancellation of <br /> the contract with Jani-King and approved the contract with MN Services for cleaning City Hall <br /> beginning in February,2015. <br /> Approve Reduction in the Letter of Credit for Meridian Land Company LLC for Fox <br /> Meadows Development <br /> Meridian Land Company has requested the City reduce their letter of credit for the Fox Meadows <br /> Development, and reduce their escrow amount held for site grading. Senior Engineering <br /> Technician Steve Duff has inspected the work. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br /> reduction of the letter of credit being held for the constructed improvements in the Fox Meadows <br /> Development to$235,500.00 of the original letter of credit in the amount of$1,479,000.00,and <br /> reduce the amount held in escrow for the purpose of site grading to$7,568.00 of the original <br /> escrow amount held of$30,274.00. <br /> Approve Retirement of City Assessor Frank Langer <br /> Frank Langer has been the City Assessor since May 1979. Frank had submitted his letter of <br /> retirement to be effective February 1, 2015. Mayor Weidt removed this from the Consent <br /> Agenda to ask staff to invite him to a future Council meeting to present him with a Certificate of <br /> Appreciation. <br /> Weidt made motion,Petryk seconded,to approve the letter of retirement from City Assessor <br /> Frank Langer effective February 1, 2015. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Approve Cancellation of ListingAgreement with Wakota Commercial Advisors.LLC for <br /> City Owned Property <br /> On April 7, 2014, the City Council approved a contract with a partnership of realtors to market <br /> the City owned property in downtown. The partnership was with Jeff Houge, a commercial <br /> realtor from Wakota Commercial Advisors, LLC and Bill Bergeson, a residential realtor from <br /> High Pointe Realty.
