Motion carried. <br /> Approval of the Agenda, <br /> Weidt made motion, Klein seconded,to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Washington County Emergency Management Director Doug Berglund <br /> Washington County Emergency Management(WCEM)is responsible for coordinating <br /> emergency preparedness throughout the county. Emergency Management Director Doug <br /> Berglund introduced himself and provided information on the WCEM Department. Doug <br /> explained that in addition to the writing and coordination of emergency operation plans,WCEM <br /> offers public education and provides assistance to local jurisdictions and county agencies before, <br /> during,and after disasters strike. WCEM works in collaboration with local, state,and federal <br /> officials, and partners with neighboring jurisdictions,to facilitate better preparedness, response, <br /> and recovery from natural and human-made disasters. Doug has worked for the Forest Lake Fire <br /> Department for 19 years and assisted Hugo during the tornado aftermath in 2008. Council <br /> discussed with Doug opportunities for training on dealing with hazardous materials on pipelines <br /> and rail lines. <br /> Introduction of Washington County Deputies <br /> Approval of the 2015 budget included an additional Washington County Deputy. Hugo is now <br /> served by six full-time equivalent deputies and one Sergeant. Sergeant Wayne Johnson <br /> introduced to Council the newest deputy to Hugo, Deputy Clayton Evans. He also introduced <br /> the new Patrol Commander/SWAT Brian Mueller and deputies Justin McDonough and Mark <br /> Rindfleisch. County Commissioner Fran Miron was in attendance,and Mayor Weidt thanked <br /> the County for their service and partnership. <br /> Approval of the Consent Agenda <br /> Petryk made motion, Klein seconded,to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br /> 1. Approve Authorization Ordinance Review Committee for Ordinance Revisions <br /> 7. Approve Park Dedication Policy <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
