Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for March 2,2015 <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br /> Approval of Claims <br /> Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br /> Approve Performance Review for Building Department Secretary Debi Close <br /> Debi Close was hired as the City's Building Department Secretary on March 20, 2006. For the <br /> past nine years, Debi has performed customer service duties both at the front counter and on the <br /> telephone scheduling inspections with contractors. Debi also works as the secretary to the Parks <br /> and Recreation Commission. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the annual performance <br /> review for Building Department Secretary Debi Close. <br /> Approve City Council Focus Goals for 2015 <br /> On January 28,2015,the Council held its annual Goal Setting Session to review 2014 goals and <br /> set goals for the coming year. Fire Chief Kevin Colvard, Planner Rachel Juba, and Parks Planner <br /> Shayla Syverson reviewed the goals of the respective departments,and Council discussed what <br /> they felt was important to accomplish in the next year. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br /> approved the 2015 Annual Focus Goals and Ongoing Priorities as presented. <br /> Approve Sale of S-10 Building Department Pickup <br /> At its August 4, 2015 City Council meeting,the City Council approved an advertisement for the <br /> sale of the 2002 Chevy S-10 pickup truck being used by City Hall staff. A total of three bids <br /> were received and opened on February 4,2015. A high bid of$1,655.00 was submitted by <br /> Bob's Auto Ranch in Lino Lakes. Staff is satisfied with the results of the bid opening. Adoption <br /> of the Consent Agenda approved the sale of the S-10 truck to Bob's Auto Ranch for$1,655.00. <br /> Approve Advertisement for Bids for Graveling Project <br /> Staff is requesting authorization from the City Council to advertise for the acceptance of bids for <br /> the City's 2015 graveling project. The City of Hugo currently follows a five-year aggregate road <br /> surfacing plan. The City has budgeted$100,000 for the aggregate road surfacing project in <br /> 2015. The roads being considered for re-graveling in 2015 are: Elmcrest Ave. (159t St. to 170t <br /> St.), Ingersoll/175th/Inwood(170th St. To 180th St.)and 180'h St. (Inwood Ave. to East). <br /> Following City Council approval, staff will advertise and solicit bids through the City newspaper <br /> and will hold a bid opening on Tuesday March 31'at 2:00 pm. This will be followed by the City <br /> Council's consideration of the bids at a following City Council meeting. This work will take <br /> place between July 1,2015 and August 1,2015. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br /> advertisement for bids for the graveling project. <br /> Approve Authorization Ordinance Review Committee for Ordinance Revisions <br /> The Ordinance Review Committee(ORC)has reviewed several ordinance text amendments <br /> since 2004. Over the next year the ORC will be reviewing and making recommendation on <br /> zoning ordinance text amendments. Some of these include the Parking,Subdivision,and Planned <br /> Unit Development(PUD)ordinances. Staff will be preparing a work plan for the ORC on these <br /> revisions. There are also areas of the zoning code that have inconsistencies or minor revisions <br /> that should be fixed. Staff is proposing to complete these text amendments prior to the large <br />
