On May 2, 2011,Council adopted a proclamation declaring May 1st as Joe Bergeron <br /> Day in Hugo. Council Member Haas noted that 37 officers have been killed in in line of duty so <br /> far this year. Council took a moment to recognize this day in remembrance of Joe and all who <br /> have devoted their lives to protect our citizens. <br /> Haas made motion, Klein seconded,to direct staff to send a letter to the legislators in support of <br /> Joe Bergeron Memorial Highway. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Annroval of Claims <br /> Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br /> Approve Annual Performance Review for Parks Planner Shavla Denawav <br /> On May 11,2009,the City Council approved the hiring of Shayla Denaway as the Economic <br /> Development/Parks Intern,and on May 3,2010,Council approved promoting Shayla as the new <br /> Parks Planner. Shayla works with the Parks Commission and the Public Works Department on <br /> the development of uses within the City parks, as well as other recreational activities and <br /> programs. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review for Parks <br /> Planner Shayla Denaway. <br />
