Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for April 20,2015 Page 3 of 8 Approve Special Event Permit for the Blacksmith Lounge The Blacksmith Lounge Restaurant had submitted a Special Event Permit application for approval of 14 events that will be hosted on their property between April and October of 2015. Staff believes that the Blacksmith Lounge has done a good job organizing the events in past years. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Special Event Permit for the Blacksmith Lounge for events held in 2015. Approve 2015 City Focus Goals on Water Conservation At its January 28,2015 meeting,Council held a goal setting workshop to establish goals for the coming year. To further evaluate the goals concerning water issues,Council had scheduled another meeting for April 7,2015 where water goals were discussed in detail. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the goals as presented. Approve Leave of Absence for Firefighter Amy Wigren Firefighter Amy Wigren has requested a Leave of Absence for personal reasons. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the leave of absence for Amy Wigren from May 8-August 1,2015. Approve Appointment of Parks Commissioner Cinde Morris to the YMCA Board of Directors At its April 6,2015 meeting,Council discussed the request from the YMCA to have an elected or appointed representative from the City of Hugo be on the Board of Directors. In addition,the YMCA also requested an annual$1,500 contribution from all members of the Board. Council had directed staff to extend the invitation to other City Committees that may want to be involved. At the April 8,2015 Parks Commission meeting,the Commission considered the request and selected Cinde Moms to be appointed to the Board. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the appointment of Cinde Morris as the City of Hugo representative on the YMCA Board of Directors and payment of the annual contribution of$1,500. Approve Application for Water Surface Use Permit for Mike Ball on Round Lake On behalf of residents living on Round Lake,resident Mike Ball has made application to the City of Hugo for a water surface use permit to allow residents to water ski on the slalom course on the lake and put a water ski jump on the lake. Washington County Sheriff's Department has provided the application form that has been completed by Mike Ball. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the application for a water surface use permit for a water skiing course on Round Lake. Approve Application for Water Surface Use Permit for David Strub on Sunset Lake On behalf of residents living on Sunset Lake,resident David Strub has made application to the City of Hugo for a water surface use permit to allow residents to water ski on the slalom course on the lake. Washington County Sheriff's Department has provided the application form that has been completed by David Strub. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the application for a water surface use permit for a water skiing course on Sunset Lake.
