Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for June 1,2015 <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br /> Approval of the Agenda <br /> Weidt made motion, Klein seconded,to approve the agenda as amended by adding to <br /> Administrative Presentations"Coffee with a Cop"event. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Hugo Good Neighbor Food Shelf Presentation and Recognition of President Kris Emerson <br /> Chris DuFresne,the incoming Hugo Good Neighbor Food Shelf Board President,presented an <br /> update on the Fiscal Year ending April, 2015. He explained the organization is made up of 3-15 <br /> board members and is 100%volunteer. The food shelf serves an average of 130 individual <br /> families located in the 55038 zip code each month. About half the food is purchased in <br /> partnership with other organizations such as Green Harvest and Festival Foods. Chris thanked <br /> the City for allowing the Food Shelf to use the building in Lions Park for the past several years, <br /> and stated he was looking forward to moving into their new building. <br /> Chris introduced Vice President Darin Carlson. Darin had visited the Council seven months ago <br /> to talked about the capital plan. He was happy to inform them that they have raised over <br /> $125,000. Their goal is$250,000 and will be used to pay off the building loan. Outgoing <br /> President Kris Emerson was recognized for her six years of service. She stated that she started <br /> the food shelf with Floyd Petty in 2009. The council thanked Kris for her leadership and <br /> dedication to the community. <br /> Weidt made motion, Haas seconded,to present a Certificate of Appreciation to Kris Emerson. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Approval of the Consent Agenda <br /> Miron made motion Klein seconded,to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br /> 1. Approval of Claims <br /> 2.
