MINUTES FOR THE _ REGULAR ,C I TY CClllraC I l� i E f_I Ia(.:a OF AE'R T L� J. , 1991 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stolt man at 7:00 PM. <br />PRESENT: Brunotte, Jesinski, McAllister, Miron, Stolt man <br />City Administrator, Ken Huber <br />City Engineer, Howard Kuusisto <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the minutes for the <br />meeting of March 18, 1991, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />McAllister made motion, Jesinski seconded, to approve the claims for April <br />1, 1991, in the amount of $52,045.73. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ON/OFF SALE BEER AND CIGARETTE t_.1 CErasFS (I? . TAVERN 1 EFT <br />Jesinski moved, Brunotte seconded, to approve an on/off sale <br />non -intoxicating liquor license and cigarette license for the Lakeview Inn <br />(D. Tavernier), 4444 129th Street, Hugo, MN. Approval of this license is <br />subject to Mr. Tavernier securing all other required licenses, as well as <br />compliance with health, safety, and other requirements of the municipal <br />code. <br />All. aye. Motion Carried. <br />STREET LIGHTING REDUEST <br />At the March 18, 1991 regular meeting of the Hugo City Council, action was <br />taken directing the staff to secure information regarding the cost of <br />street lighting installation, as well the City's policy regarding street <br />lights, a copy of which was provided to the Council for their review. In <br />our communications with NSP earlier this week, they, once again, confirmed <br />that street lights requested by the City are installed at no charge to the <br />City, when they are installed pursuant to Items 7, 8, and 10 of the City's <br />street lighting policy. It should be noted, however, that the City is <br />responsible for all energy costs relating to approved street lighting. <br />Miron made motion, McAllister seconded, authorizing the installation of a <br />street light at the Highway 61 entrance to the newly constructed senior <br />citizen housing building located at 14255 Forest Blvd. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />VARIANCE REQUEST OVERSIZED GARAGE: <br />Mr. Gary Ristow has made application to the City of Hugo for a variance to <br />construct a 936 square foot residential garage on his property located at. <br />1.7375 Henna Avenue, Hugo, MN. The property in question is zoned <br />c=onservancy, and consists of approximately 23 acres. The application <br />notes that the garage will be used for residential purposes only, and no <br />commercial activity would be allowed on site. The request in question is <br />consistent with the City's policy regarding variances for oversized <br />garages. <br />
