City Council meFtinq of October 21, 1991 <br />Paige b <br />provisions are not made within our animal control ordinance to deal with <br />dangerous dogs. The Council received a copy of a letter from the League <br />of Minnesota Cities' staff attorney with regard to County responsibility <br />to control dangerous dogs. No action was taken on this matter. <br />ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS COMMITTEE F.EPORT <br />As per Council direction, the City Building Inspector Has done a follow-up <br />inspection of the Jim Dotte property with regard to accusations that he <br />violated his original Special Use Permit. The Council also received a <br />copy of the SUP issued to Mr. Dotte, and a copy of Mr. Benson's report to <br />the Ordinance Violations Committee. The Council received a copy of a memo <br />from the Code Enforcement Officer, regarding a local resident who <br />constructed two brick:: pillars within the street right-of-way on 135th <br />Street. City ordinance prohibits placing of obstructions in the street <br />right-of-way that could affect snow plowing and result in a 'hazard if <br />struck:: by a motor vehicle. The City staff requested direction from the <br />Council with regard to follow up on this situation. The Mayor noted that <br />the Dotte matter will be discussed by the Planninq Commission at their <br />meeting of October 23, 1991. Mayor Stolt man stated that he had made an <br />inspection of the property on 15th Street, and agreed that the pillars <br />were a hazard. <br />Mir -on made motion, Barnes seconded, to _::.end- a certified letter to Mr. Paul <br />Zelenak: of 6021 135th Street, with regard to the construction of pillars <br />in the City right-of-way, requesting removal of the pillars within _.C> days <br />of this City Council meeting date. <br />All aye.
