City Council meeting of October 21, 1991 <br />Page <br />appointment of Malloy, Karnows:i and Company as the City's auditors for <br />1991 fiscal year. Councilman Miron felt it was a good idea to change <br />auditors, at some point in time, to get a another "view point", and <br />possibly a better audit price. Because of the closeness of the pre -audit, <br />Councilman Jesinski suggested that the City not consider changing auditors <br />at this time. He also added, "If it ain't broke, why fix it?'' <br />Jesinski made motion, Barnes seconded, to appoint Malloy, Karnowski, and <br />Company as the City's auditors for 1991 fiscal year. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Brunotte, Jesinski, Stolt man <br />VOTING NAY: Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />SET COUNCIL MEETING DATES <br />City staff is recommending the following adjustment in City Council <br />meeting dates for the month of November: <br />1. Schedule a City Council work shop for November 4, 1991, after <br />adjournment of the regular City Council meeting that evening. <br />2. The regular City Council meeting of November 19, 1991 be changed to <br />Tuesday, November 19, 1991 to coincide with the already established <br />budget hearing. <br />This recommendation is being made in an effort to reduce the number of <br />special Council meetings during the month of November. <br />Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to adjust the City Council meeting <br />dates for the month of November as cited above. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />LIQUOR ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />The State of Minnesota has changed its laws with regard to requiring <br />liquor bonds from holders of off -sale and on -sale liquor licenses. With <br />dram shop insurance now a requirement, a bond of this size doesn't serve <br />any purpose. The City staff is recommending adoption of the proposed <br />ordinance to delete the referenced sections from the ordinance requiring <br />liquor bonds. <br />Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to adopt ORDINANCE 1991-270, AN <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 150 OF THE HUGO CITY CODE EMT I TLFD -LIQUOR, <br />BEER, AND WINES" BY DELETING REFERENCE TO "BONDS". <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Brunotte, Jesinski, Miron, Stolt man <br />Motion Carried. <br />ANIMAL_ CONTROL - I:)ANGEROUS DOGS <br />At an earlier meeting of the City Council, action was taken requesting <br />that the staff do some research with regard to they City's liability if <br />
