City Council meeting of December 16, 1991
Page 2
that time, Mr. LeMoine has indicated he no longer wishes to continue his
efforts to prove Outlot A is buildable, and is asking the City to documen
Outlot A as a non -buildable lot, and, therefore, relinquish any
assessments to the property' Before the City proceeds to incur any
additional administrative or legal expenses with regard to this matter,
the Council should direct the deletion of the assessment from the
assessment rolls with the understanding that Mr' LeMoine agree to a deed
restriction that runs with the property. The agreement should state that
Outlot A of Evergreen Hills 2nd Addition is currently not built on, and
will not be developed or contain any buildings in the future. Mr. LeMoine
said he would agree to these conditions if the assessment was abated.
Miron made motion, Jesinski seconded, that the City of Hugo enter ioto an
agreement with James LeMoine to serve as a deed restriction declaring that
Outlot A of Evergreen Hills 2nd Addition was an unbuildable lot, and
cannot be used or developed for residential or commercial purposes. The
appropriate resolution deleting the assessment from the assessment rolls
shall also be prepared.
All aye. Motion Carried.
GARAGE VARIANCE (S. LINGLE)
On behalf of Scott and Ann Lingle, Keystone Builders Corporation has made
application to the City of Hugo for a variance to construct a 1,072 squar
foot attached garage at 12115 Heather Avenue North (aka Lot 7, Block 3,
Dellwood Ridge). The property in question consists of five acres, and th
garage is to be used for residential purposes only. The maximum allowable
square footage for an attached garage in the RR2 zoning district is 720
square feet' This request is consistent with the Council's policy
regarding oversized garages in residential districts.
Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the variance request of
Scott and Ann Lingle to construct a 1,072 square foot attached garage at
12115 Heather Avenue North' The proposed garage is to be used for
residential purposes only.
*ll aye. Motion Carried.
QUOTES FOR BUILDING MAINTENPNCE
The custodial services utilized by the City for the last six years is no
longer being provided effective December 1, 1991' The City staff contacted
several cleRning services requesting that they visit the si+`, and provide
us with a quote for janitorial services' Two of these service compaoies
visited the site, and only one submitted u written propoyal consistent
with our specifications for nervice. The Ci''y staff frels that the
proposal submitted is reasonable, and in light of t|.e fact that it was th
only quote submitted, are recompnding its approval wffectivc
immediately. Councilmen Brunotte and Miron felt that !he City should
advertise to fill the position. Councilman Barnes felt that there was "o
need to seek additional proposals, and that the submitted quote was a fair
price.
