MINUTES �ra�:_._1.HE c zlr�_ c�ourar� r f` riEET 11.43 _OF...._.I"f�F:i�H <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Atkinson at 7:00 PM. <br />PRESENT: McAllister, Olson, Vail, Atkinson <br />City Administrator, Ken Huber <br />City Attorney, Charles Johnson <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ABSENT: Tom Jes:insk:i <br />Vail made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the minutes for the City <br />Council meeting of February 20, 1990 as amended. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Olson made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the claims for March 5, 1990 <br />in the amount of $18,220.23. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CHARITABLE GAMBLING <br />Atkinson made motion, Olson seconded, that the City of Hugo has no <br />objection to the .issuance of a gambling license to the Lions Club of <br />Forest. Lake for ti...e operation of pull tabs at RJ's Restaurant, 13891 <br />Forest Blvd., Hugo, MPJ., and waiver of the 60 day waiting period. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Atkinson made motion, Olson seconded, that the City of Hugo has no <br />objection to the issuance of a gambling license to the American Legion <br />Post 620 Auxiliary to conduct bingo at the American Legion Club, 57.?6 <br />147th Street, Hugo, MN., and waiver of the 60 day waiting period. <br />All ave. Motion Carried. <br />M1NnR SUBDIVISION _:_ LEGAL� OPINION (ZALUCKYJi <br />At the request of the applicants, this matter will be tabled until the <br />regular City C.ounc:il meeting of March 19, 1990. <br />i= I RE FIGHTER RE I rlSTPETEF°1 Q T <br />Mr. Tom Bernier has submitted a letter to the City Council responding to <br />his recent suspension as a fire fighter from the city's volunteer fire <br />department. Mr. Dernier Has indicated in his request that the suspension <br />was excessive when considering his violations of fire department policy. <br />He also indicated that some of the statistics provided the City Council <br />earlier may not have been totally accurate. <br />Atkinson made motion, McAllister seconded, that the suspension of Mr. <br />Bernier terminate on March 6, 1990. Mr. Tom Dernier must apply for <br />reinstatement, agree to attend meetings and drill.=_, on a regular- basis, <br />comply with all r..epartment_al policies/regulations, and complete a <br />six-month probation period. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
