City Council meeting of Septembers 4, 1990 <br />Page _ <br />MISCE 1,ANE=.OUS <br />City Administrator, Ken Huber, stated that Harold Meehan, Hugo's compost <br />site monitor, is "retiring" and a replacment will have to be (-sired. <br />Atkinson made motion, Jesi.nski seconded, that the Cit;: of Hugo hire Troy <br />Anderson to serve as Hugo's compost site monitor from 9/5/90 until <br />11/19/90. <br />VOTING AYE: Jesinsk:i, Olson, Vail, Atkinson <br />ABSTAINED: McAllister <br />Motion Carried. <br />McAllister made motion, Atkinson seconded, to extend the internship of <br />Scott Holm until October 31, 1990. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />REPORTS OF OFFICERS <br />The City Council went into executive session to discuss the status of <br />various matters in litigation. Mayor Atkinson and Councilmen McAllister, <br />Jesinsk:i, Olson, and flail were present, as well as Attorneys Richard <br />Hocking and Charles Johnson, City Administrator Ken Huber, and City Clerk: <br />Mary Ann Creager. Mr. Hocking and Mr. Johnson reviewed the status of <br />these matters with the Council. At 9:45 PM, the executive session <br />adjourned and the regular meeting was called back: to order. <br />Atkinson made motion, flail seconded, that the City of Hugo attempt to <br />enter into a Settlement Agreement with Stanford Krueger to prohibit <br />illegal use of his pole building, provide for periodic inspections by the <br />City's Building Inspector, and no later than June 30, 1991 to commence <br />significant construction of a residence on his property. Upon <br />satisfaction of these conditions, the Cit;: would drop legal action to have <br />the building removed. <br />All. aye. Motion Carried. <br />McAllister made motion, Olson seconded, authorizing the City's legal staff <br />to initiate civil proceedings against David and/or- Carol Schumann charging <br />them with the following: <br />1. Operating an illegal auto -body business. <br />__. Operating an illegal auto -dismantling yard. <br />0. Operating an illegal landfill. <br />4. Construction and maintaining of an illegal accessory building. <br />5. Maintenance of on-site nuisance. <br />All aye.
