MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEEI-ING OF DECEMBER 17, 199() <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Atkinson at 7:00 PM. <br />PRESENT: Jesinski, McAllister, Olson, Vail, Atkinson <br />City Administrator, Ken Huber <br />City Attorney, Charles Johnson <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />Olson made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the minutes for the regular <br />City Council meeting of December 3, 1990 as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Jesinski made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the claims for December <br />17, 1990 in the amount of $76,613.82. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT (M. HUBER) <br />This application for Special Use Permit has been withdrawn indefinitely at <br />the request of the applicant' <br />VARIANCE REQUEST (R. SENI--',LER� <br />Mr. Richard Senkler of 12967 Ingersoll Avenue North has made application <br />to the City of Hugo for a variance to construct an open deck on the back <br />of his home within 50' of the high water mark of Sunset Lake and 65' of <br />existing shoreline' Currently, the house is located 70' from the high <br />water mark, and Mr. Senkler is requesting a variance to construct the 18' <br />x 30' deck sometime in the spring. The location identified on the site <br />plan was selected by the applicant as a result of limitations on site. <br />The Hugo Board of Zoning Adjustments considered this request at their <br />meeting of 11/28/90, and unanimously recommended approval. <br />Olson made motion, McAllister seconded, to approve the variance request of <br />Richard Senkler of 12967 Ingersoll Avenue to construct an open deck on the <br />back of his home, within 50' of the high-water mark of Sunset Lake, and <br />65' of the existing shoreline' Approval is based on the following <br />limitations on site: <br />1. To avoid the removal of trees and existing landscaping. <br />2. To take advantage of the steep slope in his backyard running in a <br />southerly direction. <br />3. To avoid blocking the view of the lake from his home. <br />4' To utilize the existing entrance/exit at the rear of his home' <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BOND ..SALE _�Cl,_P, PHASE 2) <br />After Council direction, the City staff has proceeded, along with Ehlers <br />and Associates, to monitor the bond market, and prepare the necessary <br />legal documents to proceed with a bond sale just after the first of the <br />year. The total bond issue amount is $1,210,000, which will finance all <br />of the roads identified in the resolution ordering the improvement with <br />
