City Council meeting of December 17, 1990 <br />Page 5 <br />STATUS OF 1990 APPROVED PROJECTS AND PR10RITIES <br />The City staff submitted a list of projects and priorities established by <br />the City Council in 1990. Also included was a list of the projects and <br />programs completed during the 1990 year for comparison with the original <br />priority list. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />The City received a letter from the Washington County Public Health <br />Department regarding Hugo's recycling program and plans the City may have <br />for future program changes. <br />Atkinson made motion, Olson seconded, that the City of Hugo apply for any <br />grant monies available for a curbside recycling program' <br />All aye' Motion Carried. <br />The received a response from Transportation Commissioner, Len Levine, <br />regarding speed limits on certain streets in the City of Hugo. <br />McAllister made a motion to have Mr' Levine's response published in the <br />Forest Lake Times and White Bear Press. <br />McAllister withdrew his motion in lieu of the City staff including the <br />letter in the City's next newsletter. <br />SCHUMANN LITIGATION <br />The Mayor notified the Council of a claim filed against the City by David <br />and Carol Schumann. <br />Atkinson made motion, McAllister seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1990-44, <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DEFENSE OF CITY OFFICIALS AND FILING OF COUNTER <br />CLAIM. <br />VOTING AYE: Jesinski, McAllister, Olson, Vail, Atkinson <br />VOTING NAY: None <br />Motion Carried. <br />The City has received the feasibility report from SEH for improvements to <br />Elmcrest Avenue.
