City Council meeting of June 19, 1989
Page 5
When Washington County went to bids for its road paving projects in 1989,
County Road 8A, from County Road 15 to Goodview Avenue, was included as an
alternate project. The Washington County Engineering Department
has informed city staff that County Road 8A will be overlaid with a 1 1/2"
mat and the shoulders improved with Class 2 limestone aggregate.
Construction on this project is to start on July 20th, and is to be
completed August 14th- Total length of this project is approximately four
miles. The 145th Street (County Road 8) improvements at the railroad
crossing downtown is scheduled for September of this year in conjunction
with other railroad projects. Staff has been informed that the 146th and
147th Street crossings will be completed by the railroad during this same
period.
MISCELLANEOUS
Atkinson made motion, Olson seconded, that the City of Hugo hire Mr. Scott
Peiffer as a member of the Hugo Fire Department, subject to completion of
the required probationary period.
All aye.
