Mr. Terry Granger has made application to the City of Hugo for a variance to construct an 832 sq ft attached garage on a new home located at 4900 Gallivan Court North, Hugo, MN. This request exceeds the 720 sq ft ordinance requirement. The garage in question meets all setback requirements, and is to be used for residential purposes only. Atkinson made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the variance request of Mr. Terry Granger for the construction of an 832 sq ft attached garage, at 4900 Gallivan Court North, exceeding the 720 sq ft ordinance requirement. CLYMER) Mr- Thomas Clymer has made application to the City of Hugo for a variance to construct a 789 sq ft attached garage at 5955 - 180th Street North, Hugo, MN. The garage in question appears to meet all setback requirements, and the applicant has indicated that said structure will be used for residential purposes only. Atkinson made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the variance request of Mr. Thomas Clymer for the construction of a 789 sq ft attached garage, at 5955 180th Street North, exceeding the 720 sq ft ordinance requirement' All aye' Motion Carried' CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE FOR CIP The City has issued a NOTICE TO PROCEED to Valley Paving, Inc', indicating that staking and roadwork will begin on or before June 22, 1989, and the completion date for paving is August 15, 1989. The shoulder work and finish work on the project will be completed in a reasonable period after August 15th' Although the City has requested that Oneka Lake Blvd', Harrow Avenue, and Goodview Avenue be placed at the top of the priority list for construction, the contractors have indicated that they are going to bring a very large crew into Hugo, with a lot of equipment, and they intend to finish this project very quickly. This will result in most of the roads being under construction at the same time. Again, we will caution the City Council that many property owners will be inconvenienced during the course of project construction, and we can only encourage residents to be patient as it is our intent to get this project done as quickly as possible' CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE ---OR_CABLE TV The City has been notified by Cable TV North Central that the construction plans are near completion for the laying of cable in the City of Hugo, and their construction start date is July 1, 1989. Construction will start at the south end of the community, and will move in a northerly direction to 177th Street. Most of the cable being installed will be overhead, although some underground will be laid in areas where underground electrical and telephone services currently exist. The deadline for completion of this project is September of 1989 although the contractors indicate they will be done much sooner than that date.
