MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST Z.L 1989 The regular meeting was called to order by Mayor Atkinson at 7:03 PM. PRESENT: McAllister, Jesinski, Olson, Vail, Atkinson City Administrator, Ken Huber City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager Olson made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the minutes of the regular Council meeting of July 17, 1989 as submitted. All aye. Motion Carried. Vail made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the General Claims for August 7, 1989 in the amount of $402,123.00. All aye. Motion Carried. Jesinski made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the Utilility Claims for August 7, 1989 in the amount of $3,295.57. All aye. Motion Carried. ST. JOHN'S CHURCH (3.2 BEER) McAllister made motion, Jesinski seconded, to approve the issuance of an On Sale 3.2 beer license to the Church of St. John's for August 27, 1989 in conjunction with their annual Fall Festival at 14383 Forest Blvd. North. All aye. Motion Carried. SHORELAND MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE AMENDMENT As per Council direction, the staff completed the modifications to the City's Shoreland Management Ordinance, as required by the MNDNR. The ordinance was amended deleting reference to the City's official zoning map, and adopts the new Shoreland Overlay District Map. This amendment was recommended by the Hugo Planning Commission following the required public hearing on July 26, 1989. All recommendations of the city attorney have been incorporated into the ordinance. McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, to adopt ORDINANCE 1989-258, AN ORDINANCE AODPTING THE OFFICIAL SHORELAND OVERLAY DISTRICT MAP AND AMENDING CHAPTER 320-43 AND 320-44 OF MUNICIPAL CODE AS IT DEALS WITH ' SHORELAND MANAGEMENT.
