The request in question <br />exceeds the maximum garage size (720 square feet) by approximately 130 <br />square feet. This request is consistent with current Council policy <br />regarding the granting of variance for oversized garages. <br />Vail made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the variance request of D. <br />Hendrickson, 8835 126th Street North (aka Lot 6, Block 2, Countryview <br />Acres) to construct an 851 square foot attached garage for residential <br />purposes only. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />1990 ANIMAL CONTROL CONTRACT <br />Animal Control €< Management, which currently serves the City of Hugo, has <br />notified us that the monthly contract amount for services provided will be <br />increased from $248.00 per month in 1989 to $255.00 per month in 1990. <br />This reflects a $7.00 per month increase. The $248.00 contract amount has <br />been the same for the last two years. There is no change in the contract <br />language proposed at this time. The City staff recommends Council <br />approval of the increase, and direct the City's finance officer to reflect <br />this adjustment in the 1990 proposed budget. <br />McAllister made motion, Jesinsk:i seconded, to approve the increase in <br />monthly contract amount for services from $248.00 per month in 1989 to <br />$255.O0 per month in 1990. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT <br />The Washington County Sheriff's Department has submitted a new contract <br />for law enforcement services for the period beginning January 1, 1989 <br />through December 31, 1999. The County has experienced some delays in <br />getting this contract to us as a result in a change in personnel who <br />administer this contract. The County has assured us that there are no <br />changes in the contract from the previous year. The City's actual cost <br />for law enfocement in 1987 was $166,519.005 in 1988 $1.71,521.00, and <br />projected for 1989 is $178,904.00. <br />McAllister made motion, Jesinski seconded, authorizing tl-iL. Mayor and City <br />Clerk: to sign the 1989 Law Enforcement Services Contract between <br />Washington County and the City of Hugo. <br />All aye.
