City Council meeting of August 21, 1989 <br />Page 4 <br />Lakes. He submitted a sample resolution for Council consideration. After <br />a lengthy discussion, Mayor Atkinson called for a motion on the proposed <br />resolution. Failing to receive a motion of support, Mr. LeBlanc was <br />informed that the City Council was not desirous of supporting the <br />resolution at this time. <br />JIM LEROUX REQUEST <br />Mr. Leroux did not appear at the meeting after requesting to be on the <br />agenda. <br />BUDGET PRESENTATION. <br />The City staff submitted a preliminary draft of the proposed 1990 general <br />fund budget for Council review. The City Council meetings of September 5 <br />and 18, 1989 will commence at 6:00 PM for discussion of the City's 1990 <br />budget. <br />Mayor George Atkinson requested the City Council review the engineering <br />study prepared by the City of Lino Lakes regarding the improvement of <br />Elmcrest Avenue on the City's western coporate limits. There will be <br />further discussion of this matter after City Administrator, Ken Huber, has <br />completed his meetings with representatives for Lino Lakes. <br />Mayor Atkinson stated that he had received complaints regarding the <br />operation of the Hansen/Goiffon gravel pit. He requested that City staff <br />contact the Sheriff's office asking for a radar check on County Road 8A, <br />and the city engineer be directed to make his annual inspection of the <br />gravel site with the possibility of requiring the on-site monitor' <br />Doug Wilske, 14553 Hyde Avenue, was present at the meeting asking for <br />clarification of the Hyde Avenue road improvements. Mayor Atkinson <br />responded to the questions, and Mr. Wilske stated he was satisfied that <br />his questions were answered' <br />City Administrator, Ken Huber, reported the status on the following <br />matters: <br />1. Acquisition of Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way by Washington <br />County. <br />2. Progress of cable TV. <br />3.
