City Council meeting of September 18, 1989 <br />Page 3 <br />Jesinski made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the variance request of <br />Richard Birrenbach to construct a 24' x 30' attached garage within 28' of <br />the north property line of his property located at 14791 Foxhill Avenue <br />North (Lot 3, Block 3, Husnik's Two Inches). Approval is subject to the <br />garage being used for residential purposes only, and removal of fence and <br />obstructions from the side yard, as per the site plan. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Mr. Michael Bauer has made application to the City of Hugo for the <br />construction of a 770 square foot attached garage to his home at 16790 <br />Ingersoll Avenue North. The property in question is zoned conservancy, <br />and consists of approximately 14.1 acres. The maximum permitted garage in <br />this zone is 720 square feet. The request exceeds the maximum permitted, <br />but is within the guidelines established by the City Council for variances <br />allowing for garages not exceeding 1,000 square feet. <br />Olson made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the variance request of <br />Michael Bauer for the construction of a 770 square foot attached garage to <br />his home at 16790 Ingersoll Avenue North. The garage is to be used for <br />residential purposes only. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Atkinson made motion, Olson seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1989-19, <br />RESOLUTION CERTIFYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR COLLECTION IN 1990. <br />VOTING AYE: Jesinski, Olson, Vail, Atkinson <br />VOTING NAY: None <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Councilmen Olson and Jesinski stated that they had received complaints <br />regarding after-hours operations at the Goiffon/Hansen gravel pit. <br />Administrator Huber suggested that the complaintants contact the <br />Washington Sheriff's Office at the time of the alleged infraction rather <br />than calling City personnel days later. <br />Councilman Jesinski requested City staff to investigate the possibility of <br />Hugo becoming a "sister city". <br />Olson made motion, Jesinski seconded, to adjourn at 7:35 PM. <br />All aye.
