Item 44160-311 - Increase expense by $130. <br />Atkinson made motion, Vail seconded, that the City of Hugo has no <br />objection to the issuance of a Gambling License to the Hugo Lions Club for <br />the sale of pulltabs at the Keystone Lounge located at 12010 Keystone <br />Avenue in the City of Hugo, and waiver of the 60 day waiting period. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />U.S. WEST RENT INCREASE <br />Currently, the City rents a portion of our administration building to U.S. <br />West to house some of their switching equipment. The City charges $200 - <br />per month rent for the facility, and the Council has discussed increasing <br />this monthly rent to $300.00. <br />Vail made motion, Jesinski seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1989-17, <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING BUILDING RENTAL INCREASE WITH U.S. WEST <br />COMMUNICATIONS, NEW VECTOR GROUP, INC. <br />VOTING AYE: Jesinski, Olson, Vail, Atkinson <br />VOTING NAY: None <br />Motion Carried. <br />APOPT PEE11111ARY TAX LEVY <br />Atkinson made motion, Jesinski seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1989-18, <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY 1989 TAX LEVY COLLECTIBLE IN 1990. <br />VOTING AYE: Jeskinski, Olson, Vail, Atkinson <br />VOTING NAY: None <br />Motion Carried. <br />Mr. Richard Birrenbach has made application to the City of Hugo for a <br />variance to construct a 24' x 30' attached garage on his property within <br />28' of the north property line. A 30' side yard setback is required on a <br />corner lot. The property is located at the southeast corner of 148th <br />Street and Foxhill Avenue. The property in question is legally described <br />as Lot 3, Block 3 of Husnik's Two Inches aka 14791 Foxhill Avenue North. <br />Mr. Birrenbach has agreed to remove the fence and other visible <br />obstructions at this intersection to provide clear visibility for traffic <br />moving in a northerly direction on Foxhill Avenue. The addition in <br />question meets all other setback requirements. The garage is to be used <br />for residential purposes only. The lot is 11,880 square feet, and is <br />zoned SFU. <br />
