F1 %ity CJu11C11 1/4/033 6.3 HOMESTEAD DRIVE ASSESSMENT HEARING To proceed with the assessment hearing for the Homestead Drive, 125th Street, and 130th Street public improvement project, as petitioned by property owners on July 21, 1987, it is necessary for the City Council to approve a resolution ordering said hearing for February 1, 1988 at 7:00 PM, Hugo City Hall Council chambers. Peltier made motion, Vail seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1988-3 RESOLUTION SETTING HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR HOMESTEAD DRIVE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 1987-30-0. VOTING AYE: Peltier, Potts, Olson, Vail, Atkinson All aye. Motion Carried. 8.4 ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICE CONTRACT As per Council direction, we have completed negotiations with Animal Control and Management, Inc., for the providing of animal control services in the City of Hugo during the 1988 calendar year. Amendments were made from the initial draft contract based on Council input and the recommendations of the city attorney. The animal control services, as outlined in the enclosed contract, will be provided for the sum of $248.00 per month. Any revisions in this contract will be proposed by ACM, prior to July 1st, if the contract is to be extended into the 1989 calendar year. Olson made motion, Potts seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1988--4 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ANIMAL.CONTROL SERVICES. VOTING AYE: Peltier, Potts, Olson, Vail, Atkinson Motion Carried. 9.1 SET DATE FOR NEXT COUNCIL MEETING The next regular scheduled meeting of the City Council falls on a state and federal holiday which requires that City Hall be closed and no public meetings be held on that date. We are recommending that the city set Tuesday, January 19, for the second Council meeting in January, 1988. Atkinson made motion, Peltier seconded, that the City Council set Tuesday, January 19, for the second Council meeting in January, 1988, at 7:00 PM. All aye. Motion Carried. 10.1 PFURTSCHELLER/SIMONET REQUEST The city received a letter from William Simonet, representing Jeanette Pfurtscheller, requesting the matter be placed back on the City Council's agenda for rehearing. Atkinson made motion, Potts seconded, that the City Council direct staff to place the application of Jeanette Pfurtscheller for a SUP to board horses on the agenda for the City Council meeting of January 19, 1988. VOTING AYE: Peltier, Olson, Vail, Atkinson VOTING NAY: Potts Motion Carried.
