/,2, <br />City Council meeting of 1/19/88 <br />8.5 ROAD SUPERVISOF; SERVICE AGREEMENT <br />The city has completed preparation of an agreement between Mr. Charles <br />Shalander and the city for roads supervisory service during the 1988 <br />calendar year. The agreement was prepared using the format provided by <br />the city attorney, and outlines the proposed arrangement with Mr. <br />Shalander for the upcoming year. Sections V and VI of the agreement <br />summarize both performance and compensation agreed upon. This schedule is <br />also consistent with previous Council discussions regarding the use of the <br />full-time building inspector for some roads inspections in the winter <br />months. Mr. Shalander has reviewed the contract and concurs with the <br />language set forth therein. This agreement puts our arrangement with Mr. <br />Shalander in a formal document as recommended. <br />Olson made motion, Vail seconded, that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized <br />to sign Service Agreement #2-1988 between the City of Hugo and the city's <br />road supervisor, Charles Shalander. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />9.1 ONEKA LAKE BOULEVARD (ROAD STUDY REQUEST) <br />Residents of Oneka Lake Boulevard have contributed $300.00 toward the <br />study of a cost comparison for the improvement of bituminous vs. recycled <br />blacktop on their road. <br />Atkinson made motion, Peltier seconded, that the City Council authorize <br />the staff to proceed with the cost comparison of bituminous surfacing vs. <br />recycled blacktop for Onet%a Lake boulevard. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />11.0 MISCELLANEOUS <br />Councilman Vail inquired as to the status of the cable TV ordinance. City <br />administrator Huber stated that the ordinance should be in the final <br />stages for Council review. <br />City Administrator Huber stated that the building inspector, Tom Crever, <br />will notify the city within a few days as to whether or not he will be <br />accepting the full-time position of code enforcement officer/building <br />inspector. <br />12.0 ADJOURNMENT <br />Peltier made motion, Olson seconded, to adjourn at 8:45 PM. <br />All aye.
