The Uniform Building Code of 1985, as adopted by the city, allows for a plan review fee to be charged in an amount not exceeding 65% of the building permit fee. The city need not charge the entire 65%, however, we are recommending that some plan review fee be established. With the establishment of the plan review fee, city staff is optimistic that the code enforcement office will be totally self-supporting by the first of next year. Vail made motion, Olson seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 88-31, RESOLUTION SETTING INSPECTION FLAN REVIEW FEES. All aye. Motion Carried. ELMCREST AVENUE BRIDGE PROJECT Over the last several years, the City of Hugo has been discussing the need to replace the old Hardwood Creed; Bridge on Elmcrest Avenue between 165th and 170th St. The Metropolitan Council has received an application from the Minnesota Department of Transportation requesting state funds to accomplish this project. The total estimated cost of the project is $78,208.00 of which approximately $24,000.00 would be the local share. It is our understanding that the City of Lino Lakes would also be participating in this project as half of this bridge is also in their community. The Metropolitan Council is requesting comment and input from the City of Hugo regarding our desire to pursue this project. The Council requested this matter be discussed when the city engineer is present. INGERSOLL P.I. PROJECT #5-2-86(A) The plans and specifications were submitted to the Council for review. Olson made motion, Peltier seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 88-32, RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR INGERSOLL AVENUE/SUNSET LAKE P.I.
