4Z January 5, 1987
there are two street lights within one-half block of this intersection and a
third street light is located approximately one block from said intersection.
In reviewing this site there appeared to be several alternatives that the City
Council may want to consider: (1) recommend installation of additional security
lights on lamps Wire Products site, (2) relocate existing street light to the
intersection in question at property owner's expense, (3) install new street
light as requested, or (4) leave street lighting as it currently exists. After
discussing this matter, the Council decided that they would like to inspect the
area in question, and asked that Hugo's contract officer inspect the area and
make any convents he feels necessary.
Motion mad by Peltier, seconded by Potts, to table the request for a street light,
as made by Mike Dietch, until the meeting of 1/20/87 toenablethe Council and
Sheriff's Department to make an inspection of the intersection and make comments.
All aye. Although Mr. Brisson was elected to a new four-year
term, he has indicated he does not wish to serve after January of this year. Mr.
Brisson is requesting that the City Council make a recommendation to the District
Hospital Board for his replacement. Mr. Brisson's replacement would serve for
one year, and then would have to run for election for the balance of the term.
The Hospital Board is requesting that the recommendation be made as soon as possible.
