R] <br />MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br />January 20, 1987 <br />The regular meeting was called to order by Mayor Atkinson at 7:01 PM. <br />PRESENT: Olson, Peltier, Potts, Vail, Atkinson <br />City Administrator, Ken Huber <br />City Attorney, Charles Johnson <br />City Engineer, Howard Kuusisto <br />3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Motion made by Vail, Peltier seconded, to approve the minutes of January 5, 1987 <br />after the following correction has been made: <br />Page 5 (Item 10.2) The roll call for the second motion, which designates the White <br />Bear Press as the city's official newspaper,should be changed to indicate Mayor Atkinson <br />voting AYE on the motion. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Motion made by Vail, Peltier seconded, to approve the General Claims for January 20, <br />1987, as submitted ($48,066.48). <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Motion made by Potts, Peltier seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for January 20, <br />1987, as submitted ($444.45). <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />5.0 Licenses <br />5.A Gambling License (Ricci's) <br />On behalf of the Minnesota Northstar Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, <br />Mr. Willard plunger has made application to the City of Hugo for a Charitable Gambling <br />License. All activities related to this license will be conducted at Ricci's Saloon, <br />14777 Forest Boulevard North, Hugo, Minnesota. The applicants' have indicated that the <br />appropriate $10,000 fidelity bond, required by Minnesota Statute, has beer., provided. <br />The intent of this gambling license application, being reviewed by the City Council, <br />is to secure input from the city regarding whether or not the city has any objection <br />to the issuance of this license by the Charitable Gambling Control Board. <br />Motion made by Potts, Peltier seconded, that the City of Hugo take no action on the <br />application of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to sell pull tabs at Ricci's <br />Saloon in the City of Hugo. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />5.B. Ron Schloer - Liquor and Other Licenses (Weigel's) <br />Mr. Ronald J. Schloer has made application to the City of Hugo for the licenses to <br />operate R.J.'s Restaurant and Lounge at 13891 Forest Boulevard, Hugo, Minnesota <br />(aka Jagdwild's). Mr. Schloer has entered into a lease agreement with Charles Cornell <br />
