27 March 2, 1987 7.A Cable Television Research As a follow-up to earlier Council requests, this matter was placed on this agenda to secure some direction from the City regarding the desire to appoint an ad hoc cable television advisory committee or possibly invite someone familiar with cable television to provide the City Council with information on the merits of bringing cable television to Hugo. There is no urgency to pursue this matter, however, if the Council is desirous of staying on some type of timetable, we will need direction from the Council in the near future. After some general discussion, it was determined that City Administrator, Ken Huber, will contact representatives from several cable companies requesting them to appear before the City Council at a future meeting to answer any questions the Council may have regarding cable television. 8.A Licenses and Permit Fees Over a period of the last several months, the city staff has been securing information and reviewing the city's current licenses and fees for the purpose of providing you with recommendations on upgrading the city's fee schedules. A copy of the staffs' recommendation was submitted for Council review and discussion. Motion made by Atkinson, Potts seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1987-32, A RESOLUTION APPROVING LICENSE, PERMIT, AND APPLICATION FEES. VOTING AYE: Olson, Potts, Vail, Atkinson VOTING NAY: Peltier Motion Carried. 11.0 Miscellaneous Councilman Potts discussed the complaint made against Garry Boyer as it relates to a memo written by Administrator Huber to the City Council. It was Councilman Potts' opinion that Mr. Boyer is on the "edge" of an ordinance violation, and submitted a docu- listing areas of possible violations. He suggested that the Boyer property be monitored in the future. 12.0 Adjournment Motion made by Peltier, Olson seconded, to adjourn at 9:05 PM. All aye. Motion Carried. Al Mary? ary Creager, City rk
