93 <br />MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br />August 3, 1987 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Atkinson at 7:03 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peltier, Olson, Atkinson <br />City Administrator, Ken Huber <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />ABSENT: Potts, Vail <br />Peltier made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the minutes for July 20, 1987, <br />as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Peltier made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the General Claims for August 3, <br />1987, in the amount of $11,294.23. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Peltier made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for August 3, <br />1987, in the amount of $437.29. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />5.A St. John's Church (Off -Sale Beer) <br />Peltier made motion, Olson seconded, to approve an Off -Sale Beer License to the <br />Church of St. John's for August 23, 1987 to be used in conjunction with their <br />annual Fall Festival. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />7.A Minor Subdivision Survey (Lynn Carlson) <br />Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Carlson have made application to the City of Hugo for the subdi- <br />vision of property described as Lots 1 through 6, Blcok 10, Shadyside #4, in the <br />City of Hugo. The request made by Mr. Carlson is three -fold, and is being made <br />pursuant to Chapter 290 of the municipal code: <br />1. Waiver of the formal subdivsion requirements and allowing the subdivision on <br />land by certificate of survey. <br />2. Variance from the one acre lot size and front yard setback. <br />3. The resubdivision of the six existing platted lots in Shadyside #4 subdivision <br />into two buildable lots. <br />Total square footage of the property in question is approximately 31,620 square <br />feet, and is zoned SFE, requiring minimum one acre building lots. Both the <br />Planning Commission and City Council recommended approval of the preliminary <br />survey sketch subject to complaince with 320-5G of the city code, and all <br />setback requirements. The City Council also approved a variance from the minimum <br />one acre lot size. During the previous survey review, Mr. Carlson assured the <br />Planning Commission and Council that he could meet all lot dimensional requirements <br />
