11 MINUTES OF THE ADDITIONAL REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING February 3, 1986 The meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 6:23 PM. PRESENT: Hauer,Peltier,Potts, Schwab, McAllister DR. GARY MAYER Mr. Mayer, Hugo Medical Clinic, was present to discuss the hepatitis inoculation for possible vaccination of the Fire Department. Various types of hepatitis were dis- cussed along with how the types are humanly transmitted. Type "B", most commonly associated with medical personnel, is transmitted by body fluid/blood. Dr. Mayer is not aware where other fire departments are inoculated for hepatitis, mainly high risk people, but this is not to say it is wrong. A decision one way or another is strickly a judgment call, with a big consideration cost effectiveness. The series_ of 3 inoculations would cost $110.00. Mayor McAllister stated that it wouldVunfair to ask Dr. Mayer his opinion, and suggested the Fire Department listen to the tape of the meeting, and if someone still feels strongly about being vaccinated, the City will bear the cost. It was the concensus of the Council that the City would pay for any inoculations if requested. This approval would bind only the 1986 Council. MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to adjourn the additional regular Council meeting at 6:47 PM. All aye. Motion Carried. PRESENT: Hauer, Peltier, Potts, Schwab, McAllister 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION: Potts made motion, Hauer seconded, to approve the minutes of January 21, 1986 as submitted. VOTING FOR: Hauer, Potts, Schwab, McAllister ABSTAINED: Peltier Motion Carried. 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to approve the General Claims for February 3, 1986, as submitted. All aye. Motion Carried.
