25 <br />MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 3, 1986 <br />The regular Council meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor at 7:00 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peltier, Potts, Hauer, Schwab <br />ABSENT: McAllister <br />3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Potts second, to approve the minutes of the <br />regular Council meeting of February 18, 1986, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />MOTION: Hauer made motion, Peltier second, to approve the General claims <br />for March 3, 1986, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Potts second, to approve the Utility Claims <br />for March 3, 1986, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES <br />5.1 Fire Department <br />Fire Chief requested authorization to purchase a ked board, a time -saving, <br />life-saving way to immobilize and extricate patients from narrow, confined <br />areas at a cost of $200.00 and a rescue bag, which is a replacement item <br />for the rescue squad, at a cost of $110.00. <br />MOTION: Potts made motion, Peltier second, to purchase 1 ked board and <br />1 rescue bag, total purchase price of $310.00. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />Fire Chief submitted copies to the council of the Fire Cadet Program <br />By -Laws and membership application form for review. He also informed <br />council he had talked to Dr. Mayer about physicals for the cadet applicants <br />and Dr. Mayer would get back to him with cost factor. The matter of <br />insurance was being discussed between the cadet coordinator and our city <br />attorney. Suggestion was made for council to review material and get back <br />to Fire Chief in the near future. <br />5.2 Pat Kinsel - Discussion about Dlacement of food shelf storage building <br />Mr. Eagles appeared in place of Pat Kinsel to discuss providing shelter <br />in the form of an 8 x 12 building shelter near the City Hall for food items <br />to be dropped off for the Greater St. Paul Community Food Bank. Lametti <br />and Sons woud provide maintenance of the shelter and area surrounding it, <br />
