26 <br />March 3, 1986 <br />arrange for delivery of food to the Community Food Bank, empty barrels <br />every day. They would like to run the shelter the first three weeks <br />of April with the city promoting the food drive through local news- <br />papers, during the last two weeks of March. Suggestion was made for <br />Lametti & Sons to contact the Hugo Medical Clinic and First State <br />Bank of Hugo mainly because of greater traffic in that area of the <br />City. Mr. Eagles will speak to both parties and get back to the <br />Council at the March 17th meeting. <br />5.3 Gambling License - City of Hope <br />The two gambling license applications were discussed. Applicant <br />on both is the City of Hope National Medical Center, 1831 Penn Avenue <br />South, St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Two sites in Hugo are the <br />Blacksmith Lounge and Ricci's Saloon. The two applications were <br />received February 10, 1986, and approval is needed in thirty days <br />or March 10, 1986 and if the Charitable Gambling Control Board does <br />not hear from the City, the applications will be approved. Acting <br />Mayor opened the floor for a motion. Hearing no motion, he stated <br />the City will not respond to the Gambling Commission which will mean <br />that within 30 days, the Commission will issue a permit to the City <br />of Hope. <br />5.4 Jim Howe - Site Plan and Pole Barn Building <br />Mr. Howe has appeared before Planning Commission and they have <br />recommended approval of site plan and variance for construction <br />of a 40 x 64 pole barn accessory building on the property at <br />6790 - 165 Street zoned agriculture. <br />MOTION: Motion by Peltier, second by Hauer, to approve a variance to <br />erect a 40 x 64 pole barn for Jim Howe as an accessory building on his <br />property. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />MOTION: Motion by Peltier, second by Hauer, to approve the site plan <br />for Jim Howe. <br />All aye.
