MINUTES OF THE ADDITIONAL REGULAR MEETING OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL

<br />The additional regular meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 9:00 ALT.
<br />PRESENT: Hauer, Peltier, Potts, Schwab, McAllister
<br />This additional regular meeting was called to consider the 1987 Budget, interview can-
<br />didates for the City Administrator position, and any other appropriate city business.
<br />MOTION: Potts made motion, Peltier seconded, to delete the City Administrator position
<br />from the 1987 Budget, in the amount of $36,810.00.
<br />VOTING FOR: Peltier, Potts
<br />VOTING AGAINST: Hauer, Scwhab, McAllister
<br />MOTION FAILED.
<br />Schwab made motion to fund the White Bear Community Counseling Service at the requested
<br />rate of $2625.00. Motion failed for lack of second.
<br />EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT - CITY ADMINISTRATOR
<br />MOTION: Schwab made motion, Hauer seconded, to revise the EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT, as
<br />submitted, as follows: Section 3 (A.) amend first date to read November 1,
<br />1988, and amend severance pay to six (6) months.
<br />Schwab and Hauer withdrew their motion.
<br />MOTION: Schwab made motion, Hauer seconded, that the submitted EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
<br />be amended to read as follows: If Employee is terminated by the City without
<br />cause prior to November 1, 1988, and Employee is willing and able to perform
<br />the duties of City Administrator as herein provided, the City agrees to pay
<br />Employee Severance Pay, in a lump sum cash payment, equal to six (6) months'
<br />pay aggregate salary subject to all applicable withholdings; PROVIDED, however,
<br />that in the event Employee is terminated with cause, as provided in
<br />Chapter 20-30, Subd. A, or is terminated at any time during the Term of this
<br />EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT because of conviction of any criminal act, then, in
<br />either such event, the City shall have no obligation to pay any Severance Pay.
<br />VOTING FOR: Hauer, Schwab, McAllister
<br />VOTING AGAINST: Peltier, Potts
<br />Motion Carried.
<br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Schwab seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1986-17, A
<br />RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE ANNUAL LEVY TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR.
<br />VOTING FOR: Hauer, Peltier, Schwab, McAllister
<br />VOTING AGAINST: Potts (voted NO because City Administrator included in budget)
<br />Motion Carried.
<br />MO'T'ION: Hauer made motion, Schwab seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1986-18, A RESOLUTION
<br />CERTIFYING THE SANITARY SEWER ASSESSMENT FOR PLACEMENT ON THE 1987 TAX ROLLS.
<br />All aye. Motion Carried.
