18 February 4, 1985 <br />6.2 Planning Commission <br />The Council touched briefly on the public hearing to be held2/6/85 with the White <br />Bear Rod & Gun Club. <br />MOTION: Schwab made motion, Potts seconded, authorizing the Mayor to hire off- <br />duty police officers for the public hearing of 2/6/85, and that they be <br />covered by the city's workman's compensation insurance. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />6.3 Building Inspector <br />Mr. Crever was present to discuss the plans of a property owner on Goodview and <br />8A to construct an "earth" home" on the property that is virtually flat. Council- <br />man Potts stated that although they conform to the State Building Code, the city <br />should address any potential drainage problems that could affect adjoining pro- <br />perty owners and their homes. Mayor McAllister stated that a site plan would be <br />required, with review by the Council, prior to the issuance of any building permit. <br />6.5 Clerk <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Hauer seconded, that Carole LaBelle and Mary Ann <br />Creager be authorized to attend the clerk's conference in Alexandria, <br />Minnesota, on March 19, 20, 21, and 22nd. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SHAMROCK GLEN <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, to accept the City Engineer's <br />reconuendation to reduce the $85,000 letter of credit for the Shamrock <br />Glen Subdivision by 70% as provided in the Development Agreement. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, that the City accept the Clerk's <br />reconmendation to mail copies of Council minutes, free of charge, to any <br />resident of the City of Hugo, upon request. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS <br />MOTION: Schwab made motion, Peltier seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1985-4, A RESO- <br />LUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO SIGN THE 1985 POLICE CONTRACT <br />INCLUDING A CHANGE EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 1985, FROM 120 HOURS PER WEEK <br />TO 160 HOURS PER WEEK. THE MAYOR IS AUTHORIZE TO PETITION THE COUNTY <br />BOARD TO AMEND THE CONTRACT. <br />All aye.
