24 <br />March 18, 1985 <br />5.2 Ken Granger - Fire Department Operations Review Committee and SUP <br />Mr. Granger stated that with the number of applications for fire chief, the <br />committee would need additional time for review of same. Motion by McAllister, <br />second by Peltier to grant a 90 day extension for the Fire department opera- <br />tions review committee to recommend a new fire chief for the City of Hugo, <br />motion carried. Motion by Potts, second by Peltier to approve Special Use <br />Permit for Granger's, Inc. to install self-service fuel pumps and convenience <br />store at 14817 Forest Blvd. citing the conditions in Planning Commission <br />report with the exception of number 3, motion carried. <br />5.3 Howard Meline - Site Plan Approval <br />Motion by Hauer, second by Peltier to approve site plan for 40 x 108 <br />addition to present barn for utility and hay storage, motion carried. <br />5.4 Elsie Jasinski - Rezoning <br />This refining application has been recommended for approval by the Planning <br />Commission. The request is to rezone the 20.20 acre parcel from Agricultural <br />to RR -2. Motion by Hauer, second by Schwab to adopt ORDINANCE 1985-218, AN <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 320 OF THE HUGO CITY CODE ENTITLED "ZONING" BY <br />AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT OF THE DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY, 20.20 acres <br />described as follows: Government Lot #4, Section 4, Township 31 N, Range <br />21 W, Washington County, Minnesota, <br />AYE: Hauer, Schwab, Peltier, McAllister <br />ionPcarried. <br />Mayor stated that perc tests would have to be taken before a Land Division is <br />approved. <br />5.5 Metro Steel - Site Plan Approval <br />Motion by Hauer, second by Schwab to approve site plan for addition to <br />Metro Steel subject to permit from Rice Creek Watershed District, motion <br />carried. <br />5.6 Hugo Lions Club - Licenses <br />Motion by Peltier, second by Schwab to grant a Club On -Sale Non -Intoxicating <br />liquor license to the Hugo Lions Club, motion carried. <br />5.7 Darrell Tavernier - Licenses <br />Motion by Hauer, second by Peltier to grant an On -Sale and Off -Sale <br />Non=Intoxicating liquor license and Cigarette license to Darrell Tavernier, <br />motion carried. <br />5.8 Tim Nadeau - Disc on remodeling of apartment <br />Building Inspector stated that he had inspected the upstairs of Nadeau's <br />Market and found some remodeling has been going on without a permit; changing <br />1 apartment into 3. This is not in conformity with the zoning regulations. <br />Mr. Nadeau was instructed to draw up plan as it existed in December, 1974 and <br />apply for a building permit and submit to building inspector showing 2 apart- <br />ments instead of three. The party in the "third" apartment would have to.be <br />given thirty days notice and removal of all bathroom facilities by the end <br />of April for inspection by building inspector by May 10th. They would like to <br />use the area outside of the two apartments for office storage. <br />
