62 July 1, 1985 6.4 Fire Chief - No discussion 6.5 Clerk - No discussion 7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS MOTION: Potts made motion, Peltier seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1985-9, A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE COMPREHENSIVE MUNICIPAL PLAN. All aye. Motion Carried. 8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS Mr. Hhuer has done some research on the upgrading of the railroad crossing at 130th Street and Highway 61. There are funds available, federal and state, but given on a priority basis. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, that Councilman Hauer be authorized to write a letter to Bob Swanson, MinnDOT, on behalf of the City of Hugo, requesting the upgrading of the railroad crossing at 130th Street and Highway 61. All aye. Motion Carried. Councilman Hauer did some research on a senior citizens housing program, and the cost for each community. Hugo's portion would be $215.00 for 3 years. The city has until July 26 to decide if they want to participate in the program. MOTION: Hauer made motion, Potts seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1985-10, A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO PARTICIPATE HOME SHARE PILOT PROGRAM. All aye. Motion Carried. BROWN'S CREEK Attorney Johnson touched on his concerns with the Joint Powers Agreement for the Brown's Creek Watershed District. One of his main concerns was that there is money that will have to be spent, or could be spent in the future, with no idea what Hugo's costs would be. It was determined that the city should meet with Nile Kriesel, and Hugo's representative to the commission, to attempt to resolve all questions. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Hauer seconded, to schedule an additional regu- lar City Council meeting for July 11, 1985, at 7:00 PM, to discuss the Brown's Creek Agreement, and any other appropriate city business.
