68 July 15, 1985 <br />MOTION: Potts made motion, McAllister seconded, to approve the Special Use Permit <br />and Site Plan for Will Harris to construct two softball fields and <br />approximately six golf holes on the property adjacent to the Texan <br />Bar, subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Owner to provide portable restroom facilities outside of the bar. <br />2. One ingress and egress through existing driveway on Highway 61. <br />3. Fences, berms, or plantings shall be set to control traffic and <br />limit traffic to the parking area. <br />4. Restricted flight golf balls will be required. No other balls per- <br />mitted and notice of such rule to be posted in the area where green <br />fees are collected. <br />5. The entire outfield of the softball fields to have snow fencing, <br />and further fencing will be required if neighbor problems occur. <br />6. Restricted flight softballs shall be used. <br />7. No lighting shall be provided on golf course or softball fields <br />without amendment to this permit. <br />8. Annual review shall be required. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />8.0 NEW BUSINESS <br />MOTION: Schwab made motion, Peltier seconded, that the city send a letter to <br />Jim Wisner and the Hugo Lions Club thanking them for their efforts to <br />obtain a new flag pole outside of City Hall. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />9.0 ATTORNEY AND ENGINEER <br />Mr. Johnson submitted his monthly report. There was no further discussion. <br />Engineer Kuusisto stated that the water tower is in need of sandblasting and <br />painting before a "major" project is needed. He estimated the cost to be appro- <br />ximately $12,000.00 <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, that the City Engineer be <br />directed to advertise for sealed bids for the repainting of the city's <br />water tower. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />10.0 CLERK <br />The Clerk is to forward copies of all correspondence sent to the Joe Card family <br />regarding the construction of a fence between the Card and Pavek property. <br />The City received a letter of complaint from Mike Ball regarding a possible vio- <br />lation to city code (no building permit). It was a consensus vote of the <br />Council that the Building Inspector investigate the allegation and report to the <br />City Council of his findings. <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Hauer seconded, to adjourn at 9:27 PM. <br />All aye.
