72 <br />August 5, 1985 <br />home parks as far as setback requirements. Because the trailer park has a Special <br />Use Permit, McAllister asked that City Engineer, Howard Kuusisto, establish the south <br />property line of the trailer park. Vern Peloquin stated that he could find the <br />marker, and the meeting was recessed at 8:26 PM so that McAllister and Peloquin <br />could make an onsite inspection of the property. They returned at 8:46 PM, and <br />no monument could be located. John Trippel and Mike Gibbs were both present, at <br />different times, in reference to this matter. <br />JOE CARD <br />The city received a letter from Joe Card stating that the fence he erected on his <br />southern property line was built to serve as a backboard for a basketball hoop. <br />The inspector was instructed to the fence is in violation of the fence ordinance. <br />6.4 Clerk <br />The clerk polled the Council, and Planning Commission members present at the <br />meeting, as to their opinion regarding a policy change so that "routine" site <br />plan approvals be submitted directly to the Council. The response varied so <br />each Council member was instructed to write down their thoughts, positive and <br />negative, about the possibility of changing the policy. <br />FIRE PREVEN'T'ION PROGRAM <br />Cheryl Istvanovich, Fire Department secretary, was present to request that the <br />city purchase a "Learn Not To Burn Program" to use when the FD visits the ele- <br />mentary schools in Hugo. The program costs $767.00. She also requested that <br />the city purchase handouts for their open house on October 6. <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Hauer seconded, authorizing Cheryl Istvanovich, <br />Hugo FD, tp purchase the "Learn Not To Burn Program" in the amount <br />of $767.00 <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MOTION: Hauer made motion, Peltier seconded, that the FD be authorized to <br />purchase handouts for their open house on 10/6 in the amount of $400.00. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />Mayor McAllister stated that the city will be patching Ethan Avenue, from 126th <br />Street to Elmcrest Avenue, in the amount of approximately $16,000. work will <br />be started this year. <br />MOTION: Potts made motion, Peltier seconded, to adjourn at 9:30 PM. <br />All aye.
