MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br />September 16, 1985 <br />The regular meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 7:00 PM. <br />PRESENT: Hauer, Peltier, Potts, Schwab, McAllister <br />Attorney Johnson and Engineer Kuusisto <br />3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Potts seconded, to approve the minutes of September 3, <br />1985, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />MOTION: Schwab made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the general claims for <br />September 16, 1985, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Hauer seconded, to approve the utility claims for <br />September 16, 1985 with the following addition: <br />James Erickson - $60.00 <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />George Atkinson, Planning Commission chairman, was present and inquired if it was <br />necessary for him to attend Council meetings. Mayor McAllister suggested the <br />PC members alternate attending as does the Council to PC meetings. McAllister <br />also restated city policy in that if land division satisfied all requirements, the <br />matter is to go directly to the City Council. The open meeting law was then dis- <br />cussed. The PC is to comply with Chapter 10 of the city code with respect to <br />notice of meetings when a majority of members will be present and city business <br />is discussed. <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Potts seconded, that the clerk's office be notified <br />that they have the authority to schedule mandatory public hearings and <br />publish the notice in the official newspaper, after consultation with the <br />Planning Commission chairman. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, C HJNICATIONS AND LICENSES <br />5.1 Bill Wenzel - Site Plan Approval <br />Mr. Wenzel, 5501 145th Street, is proposing the construction of a 12 x 20 storage <br />shed and housing for two dogs. The property is located in the CB district. Mr. <br />Wenzel stated that he had contacted neighbor, Mike Walters, regarding the construc- <br />tion, and Walters had no objections. <br />MOTION: Hauer made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the Site Plan for Bill <br />Wenzel for the construction of a 12 x 20 storage building on his property <br />in the CB district. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
