3 <br />January 3, 1984 <br />MOTION: Schwab made motion, McAllister seconded, to adopt ORDINANCE 200, AN ORDI- <br />NANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE HUGO CITY CODE ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION", <br />TO PROVIDE FOR APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSIONALS. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />The Council discussed the proposed remodeling concept for the clerk's office and City <br />Hall. Mayor McAllister thought the project would cost under $2,000.00, with the <br />majority of labor being volunteered. <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the concept of the addition <br />to the Clerk's office within the City Hall. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />9.0 NEW BUSINESS <br />9.1 Official Appointments <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to designate the Forest Lake Times <br />as the city's legal newspaper for the year 1984. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, to designate the First State Bank of <br />Hugo and Twin City Federal, Maplewood, as the depositories for the City of <br />Hugo in 1984. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Councilman Vail is to contact Dick Gessner inviting him to a Council meeting regarding <br />city investments. <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, to appoint Charles Schwab as Acting <br />Mayor for the year 1984. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to appoint Deane Vail as Parks Com- <br />missioner for the City of Hugo in 1983. <br />All aye. Notion Carried. <br />Councilman Vail will contact the Lions Club regarding the irprovement to the tennis <br />courts. <br />MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, that the City of Hugo appoint Charles <br />Johnson as City Attorney for the year 1984. <br />All aye. Notion Carried. <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, that the City of Hugo appoint Howard <br />Kuusisto as City Engineer for the year 1984. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
