3 January 3, 1984 MOTION: Schwab made motion, McAllister seconded, to adopt ORDINANCE 200, AN ORDI- NANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE HUGO CITY CODE ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION", TO PROVIDE FOR APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSIONALS. All aye. Motion Carried. 8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS The Council discussed the proposed remodeling concept for the clerk's office and City Hall. Mayor McAllister thought the project would cost under $2,000.00, with the majority of labor being volunteered. MOTION: Peltier made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the concept of the addition to the Clerk's office within the City Hall. All aye. Motion Carried. 9.0 NEW BUSINESS 9.1 Official Appointments MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to designate the Forest Lake Times as the city's legal newspaper for the year 1984. All aye. Motion Carried. MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, to designate the First State Bank of Hugo and Twin City Federal, Maplewood, as the depositories for the City of Hugo in 1984. All aye. Motion Carried. Councilman Vail is to contact Dick Gessner inviting him to a Council meeting regarding city investments. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, to appoint Charles Schwab as Acting Mayor for the year 1984. All aye. Motion Carried. MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to appoint Deane Vail as Parks Com- missioner for the City of Hugo in 1983. All aye. Notion Carried. Councilman Vail will contact the Lions Club regarding the irprovement to the tennis courts. MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, that the City of Hugo appoint Charles Johnson as City Attorney for the year 1984. All aye. Notion Carried. MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, that the City of Hugo appoint Howard Kuusisto as City Engineer for the year 1984. All aye. Motion Carried.
