10 February 7, 1983 <br /> 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & CONMI'ri'hS <br /> 6.1 Ordinance Committee - No discussion. <br /> 6.2 Planning Commission <br /> The city received notice from Arthur Potts and George Atkinson that they were in- <br /> terested in filling the current vacancy on the Planning Commission. <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, Schwab seconded, that the City appoint Mr. Arthur <br /> Potts to fill the current vacancy on the Planning Commission - term to <br /> expire 12/31/86. Reasons provided for the decision: 1) need of repre- <br /> sentation from the northern portion of the city, and 2) had expressed <br /> interest in the previous City Council vacancy. <br /> VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schwab, Vail <br /> ABSTAINED: Peltier <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, to nominate Ken Larch as the <br /> chairman of the Planning Commission. <br /> VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schwab, Vail <br /> VOTING AGAINST: Peltier <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> 6.3 Water Superintendent - No discussion. <br /> 6.4 Building Inspector <br /> Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. <br /> 6.5 Fire Chief <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, suggesting the city look into the <br /> possibility of a used radio for truck #5, and that Motorola check it <br /> out before the city purchases the radio. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 6.6 Clerk <br /> The matter of how the number of units (RECS) is determined for billing purposes <br /> will be discussed at the meeting of 2/22/83. <br /> Gene Schultz is to be requested to appear before the Council on 3/7/83 to discuss <br /> the mobile home permit he desires. <br /> 7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Vail seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1983-1, A RESO- <br /> LUTION DESIGNATING THE FIRST STATE BANK OF HUGO AS A DEPOSITORY FOR THE <br /> CITY OF HUGO, AND THAT CHECKS, DRAFTS, OR OTHER WITHDRAWAL ORDERS ISSUED <br /> AGAINST THE FUNDS OF THIS CITY BE SIGNED AS INDICATED. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
