10 February 7, 1983 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & CONMI'ri'hS 6.1 Ordinance Committee - No discussion. 6.2 Planning Commission The city received notice from Arthur Potts and George Atkinson that they were in- terested in filling the current vacancy on the Planning Commission. MOTION: Vail made motion, Schwab seconded, that the City appoint Mr. Arthur Potts to fill the current vacancy on the Planning Commission - term to expire 12/31/86. Reasons provided for the decision: 1) need of repre- sentation from the northern portion of the city, and 2) had expressed interest in the previous City Council vacancy. VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schwab, Vail ABSTAINED: Peltier Motion Carried. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, to nominate Ken Larch as the chairman of the Planning Commission. VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schwab, Vail VOTING AGAINST: Peltier Motion Carried. 6.3 Water Superintendent - No discussion. 6.4 Building Inspector Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. 6.5 Fire Chief MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, suggesting the city look into the possibility of a used radio for truck #5, and that Motorola check it out before the city purchases the radio. All aye. Motion Carried. 6.6 Clerk The matter of how the number of units (RECS) is determined for billing purposes will be discussed at the meeting of 2/22/83. Gene Schultz is to be requested to appear before the Council on 3/7/83 to discuss the mobile home permit he desires. 7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS MOTION: Peltier made motion, Vail seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1983-1, A RESO- LUTION DESIGNATING THE FIRST STATE BANK OF HUGO AS A DEPOSITORY FOR THE CITY OF HUGO, AND THAT CHECKS, DRAFTS, OR OTHER WITHDRAWAL ORDERS ISSUED AGAINST THE FUNDS OF THIS CITY BE SIGNED AS INDICATED. All aye. Motion Carried.
