MICHAEL MCALLISTER, CHARLES SCHWAB, AND LUANN PRACHAR <br /> HAVE THE RIGHT OF ACCESS TO SAID BOX. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: Schwab made motion, Vail seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1983-3, A RESOLUTION <br /> AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF $1220.00 TO DEAN ATKINSON, A & B CONSTRUCTION. <br /> VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schwab, Vail <br /> VOTING AGAINST: Peltier <br /> All aye. Notion Carried. <br /> 8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> As a result of the current watermain breaks, McAllister has recommended the in- <br /> stallation of a 4" discharge nozzle for use of water directly frau the well, by- <br /> passing the main 8" line to the water tower. If there was a break in the system <br /> by the pump house. the city would lose all water service. It was suggested the <br /> following contractors be contacted regarding the installation: LaMetti, Acton <br /> Construction, and McCullough Well Drillers. Kuusisto Engineer will send a rep to <br /> advise the procedure to follow. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Schwab seconded, that the city install an alternate <br /> 4" discharge system so as to be able to pump water directly from the city <br /> well to the fire hydrant, bypassing the main 8" line to the water tower <br /> and Fitzgerald Avenue. Installation to be completed as soon as possible <br /> and in the most economical manner. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> Mayor McAllister is attempting to set up a meeting with Robert Lockyear, Washington <br /> County Planner, to try and complete the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> The seal coating project for city streets will be discussed at the meeting of <br /> February 22, 1983. <br /> The city has received notice the Greyhouse Bus Service will be eliminating bus <br /> service from the City of Hugo. A public hearing is scheduled for 2/17 in Rush <br /> City to discuss this proposal. <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, that the city write a letter to Grey- <br /> hound and the Public Service Commission stating its opposition to the <br /> discontinuance of service the the City of Hugo. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> The city received a letter from Insurance Services Office clarifying its previous <br /> letter (8/27/82) regarding fire classification. The part of Hugo serviced by city <br /> water has been given a Class 5, and the structures over a 1000' from a hydrant but <br /> within five miles of the fire station are now Class 9. McAllister and Vail will <br /> work on a letter challenging the rate change because of variety of equipment now <br /> available and mutual aid. <br />
