14 <br /> MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> February 21 , 1984 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 7:00 PM. <br /> PRESENT: Peltier, Atkinson, Vail, McAllister <br /> Attorney Johnson and Engineer Kuusisto <br /> ABSENT: Schwab <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> • <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, Atkinson seconded, to approve the minutes of February 6, <br /> 1984, after the following change has been made: <br /> Page 12 (1st paragraph) - at a rate not to exceed $40.00/hour. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the General Claims for <br /> February 21 , 1984, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for <br /> February 21, 1984, as submitted. <br /> All Aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS AND LICENSES <br /> 5.1 Ted Eselgroth - Cable Communication <br /> Mr. Eselgroth, representing Westel Cable Communications, was present to discuss the <br /> cable system and what Hugo would have to do to get cable in the city. Mr. Eselgroth <br /> stated that his firm would have to have at least 150 - 200 subscribers to make the <br /> project economically feasible. The "downtown" section of Hugo is the part of Hugo <br /> that could be wired at this time. Eselgroth estimated that it would be a 6 month <br /> process to wire the community after the awarding of the bid. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, to form a committee of Ken Lorch, <br /> Deane Vail, and Charles Johnson to review the cable TV proposals, and re- <br /> port to the City Council their recommendation. Ken Lorch will serve as <br /> chairman of the committee. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.3 Robert McCullough - Status of Building Permit <br /> Mr. McCullough, owner of Midwest Seeder and Landscaping, has constructed a pole barn <br /> on his property located at 15857 Forest Boulevard without benefit of a building <br /> permit. McCullough had obtained Site Plan Approval from the city on 7/5/83, subject <br />
