44 May 21, 1984
ENGINEER
The city received a letter from TKDA regarding the upgrading of 120th Street east
of Highway 61. The city would be interested in restoring this street upon re-
ceipt of a cost figure for the improvement.
JOB DESCRIPTION - INSPECTORS
A draft of job descriptions and fee schedule was submitted to the Council and in-
spectors for their review. This policy was discussed at length with the Council
and inspectors present. Scwab, Creager, and the inspectors will meet again to
discuss the 65% plan check fee, and what authority the Mayor and Clerk have to
make contractural agreements with outside building inspectors and for what com-
pensation.
MISCELLANEOUS
The city received a letter from Deputy Moriarity concerning a late-night party
in the city park which resulted in a picnic table being burned. The persons in-
volved in the vandalism are to be notified that if there are more problems, the
city will be forced in to adopting an ordinance regulating park hours and use.
The Clerk was instructed to send a letter to Windsor-Gro regarding the condition
of the greenhouses on their property along Highway 61
Richard Vail asked the city if his $27,000.00 letter of credit would qualify
him to hookup to city sewer in the Shamrock Glen subdivision. Mayor McAllister
stated that if Mr. Vail amended his letter of credit to cover the requirements
for installation of sanitary sewer in the codebook, it would be satisfactory. An
application for a license from the city would also be required.
MOTION: McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, that the city accept an amended
letter of credit from Richard Vail, specifically naming the license
sewer installer who would be performing the hookup to city sewer, and
said $27,000.00 letter of credit would serve as a satisfactory financial
guarantee only in Shamrock Glen.
All aye. Motion Carried.
MOTION: Vail made motion, Schwab seconded, to adjourn at 9:40 PM.
All aye. Motion Carried.
C -n
Maryreager, Clerk
City Hugo
