45 <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> June 4, 1984 <br /> The regular meeting of the Hugo City Council was called to order at 7:02 PM. <br /> PRESENT: McAllister, Peltier, Schwab, Vail <br /> ABSENT: Atkinson <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to approve the minutes of the Special <br /> Meeting of May 21, 1984, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the minutes of the regular <br /> meeting of May 21 , 1984, after the following correction has been made: <br /> Page 42 - Representatives of Wilson Tool <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to approve the General Claims for <br /> June 4, 1984, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for June 4, <br /> 1984, as submitted. <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COM4UNICATIONS & LICENSES <br /> 5.1 Barry Mattson - Forest Lake Ambulance Service <br /> Mr. Mattson, Director of Emergency Services at District Memorial Hospital, was present <br /> to solicit Hugo's participation in their ambulance service. It was his contention <br /> that they could respond more quickly to an emergency than Hugo's present contract <br /> holder, White Bear Ambulance Service. There are two years left on our contract. <br /> Two ambulances are available with a cost of $190.00/ALS and $160.00/BLS, and an addi- <br /> tional cost of $3.50/mile for both units. Fire Chief, Ron Istvanovich, was present, <br /> and stated that Hugo has a good working relationship with the present contract holder, <br /> and that he is well-satisfied with their service. Mayor McAllister recommended that <br /> the city request Chief Vadnais to appear before the Council to discuss how his <br /> service works. The city will in turn notify Mr. Mattson as to the Council's decision. <br /> Chief Istvanovich will make the necessary arrangements with Chief Vadnais. <br /> 5.2 Bryan Palmer - Complaint <br /> The city had received several complaints regarding the Palmer residence at 5398 145th <br /> .. Street for unnecessary storing of brush, debris, and vehicles. Mr. Palmer was present <br /> and was informed that he resides in a residential neighborhood and that the city wants <br /> the area cleaned up. Mr. Palmer stated that he was in the process of cleaning up. <br />
