49 <br /> MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> June 18, 1984 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 7:04 PM. <br /> PRESENT: Peltier, Atkinson, Schwab, McAllister <br /> Attorney Johnson and Engineer Kuusisto <br /> ABSENT: Vail <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to approve the minutes of June 4, 1984, <br /> as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Schwab made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the General Claims for <br /> June 18, 1984, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Atkinson seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for <br /> June 18, 1984, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES <br /> 5.1 Gordon Vadnais - Disc on ambulance service <br /> Mr. Vadnais gave brief history of the White Bear Ambulance Service. The paramedic ser- <br /> vice was started in 1979 with two ambulances. The service is self-sustaining and <br /> charges $75.00 for their basic life support and $125.00 advance life support. Forest <br /> Lake Ambulance Service is not paid for by the taxpayers and charges $160.00 for BLF and <br /> $3.50/mile, and $190.00 ALS and $3.50/mile. All communities utilizing the White Bear <br /> service pays for the training of personnel. Hugo's contract became effective January 1, <br /> 1982, for a 5 year duration. Mayor McAllister stated that Hugo considers more than <br /> just the cost factor - experience is very important. The city has an excellent working <br /> relationship with White Bear, and it was the recommendation of Higo's Fire Chief to <br /> remain with White Bear at this time. <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Atkinson seconded, that the City of Hugo send a letter <br /> to Mr. Terrence Brenny, Chief Executive Officer for the District Memorial <br /> Hospital, stating that we will remain with the White Bear Lake Ambulance <br /> Service. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.3 Lloyd Sathre - Complaint <br /> Mr. Sathre, 13040 Ingersoll, was present at the meeting with his son, Tom, to discuss <br /> the complaint received by the City regarding the dumping of debris and the keeping of <br /> non-domestic animals in the RRII zone. Tom Sathre stated that there is a lot of quick- <br /> sand on the property, and that they were attempting to fill holes and extend their <br />
