19
March 7, 1983
5.6 Robert Burkard & Jim Wisner - Job Description
Mr. Burkard and Mr. Wisner submitted job descriptions, along with the number of hours
required, as previously requested. Mayor McAllister stated that the auditor required
more accountability of time from the utility department, and it was his feeling that
a timeclock would provide it. Mr. Wisner was present at the meeting (Mr. Bukard was
on vacation) , and asked what he would consider a fair hourly wage if all his duties
were blended. Mr. Wisner stated that he was not prepared at this time to provide
that figure. Council representative Vail and Peltier did not feel a timeclock would
accomplish accountability.
MOTION: McAllister made motion, Atkinson seconded, that the City of Hugo purchase
a timeclock, and that all employees, full-time, permanent part-time, and
part-time use the timeclock and be paid bi-weekly, at an hourly rate as
established by the City Council for each position. The timeclock system
will go into effect May 1, 1983.
VOTING FOR: McAllister, Atkinson, Schwab
VOTING AGAINST: Peltier, Vail
Motion Carried.
6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & COMMITTEES
6.1 Ordinance Committee - No discussion
6.2 Planning Commission
MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, to appoint Glen Reimer to fill the
current vacancy on the Planning Commission. Mr. Crever suggested that the
city review the progress of the Irving residence prior to their next renewal. Crever
will also inspect the Safeway House Movers site for the number of permanent buildings.
6.4 Clerk
MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, that the annual Board of Review
for the City of Hugo will meet May 11 , 1983, Hugo City Hall, from 9:30 AM
until 3:00 PM.
All aye.
