63 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL July 18, 1983 The meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 7:00 PM. PRESENT: McAllister, Peltier, Atkinson, Schwab Attorney Johnson and Engineer Kuusisto ABSENT: Vail 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to approve the minutes of July 5, 1983, after the following insertion has been made: Page 61 (Fondant drainage) - McAllister has been unsuccessful in ob- taining approval from the property owner, Mary Ouimet, to have the drainage ditch cleaned. All aye. Motion Carried. MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to approve the minutes of the Special Meeting of July 11 , 1983, as submitted. All aye. Motion Carried. 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS MOTION: Atkinson made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the General Claims for July 18, 1983, as submitted. All aye. Motion Carried. 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS AND LICENSES (NAIL ARRIVED AT 7:05 PM) Initially, Mr. Claude Bloomer, 12471 Ethan Avenue, had requested no parking signs to be installed to eliminate vandalism to his property, especially in the winter. The signs created a parking problem for residents of Oakshore Park, and they requested the signs be removed. Mr. Bloomer was members of the Cakshore Park Association were present and agreed that the problem was centered from 126th Street to the south. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, that Ethan Avenue be resigned "NO PARKING" on the east side of the road from 126th Street to George Jungblut's property. All aye. Motion Carried. 5.3 Esther Weigel - Liquor Licenses Mrs. Weigel, new owner of the Silver Spur Saloon, thought that she could obtain her liquor license at the meeting. She was told to complete the necessary applications when the building was approximately 3/4's complete. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, to extend the reservation for an on-sale liquor license for Esther Weigel for 90 days. All aye. Motion Carried.
