63 <br /> MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> July 18, 1983 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 7:00 PM. <br /> PRESENT: McAllister, Peltier, Atkinson, Schwab <br /> Attorney Johnson and Engineer Kuusisto <br /> ABSENT: Vail <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to approve the minutes of July 5, 1983, <br /> after the following insertion has been made: <br /> Page 61 (Fondant drainage) - McAllister has been unsuccessful in ob- <br /> taining approval from the property owner, Mary Ouimet, to have the drainage <br /> ditch cleaned. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: Peltier made motion, Schwab seconded, to approve the minutes of the Special <br /> Meeting of July 11 , 1983, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Atkinson made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the General Claims for <br /> July 18, 1983, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS AND LICENSES <br /> (NAIL ARRIVED AT 7:05 PM) <br /> Initially, Mr. Claude Bloomer, 12471 Ethan Avenue, had requested no parking signs to <br /> be installed to eliminate vandalism to his property, especially in the winter. The <br /> signs created a parking problem for residents of Oakshore Park, and they requested <br /> the signs be removed. Mr. Bloomer was members of the Cakshore Park Association were <br /> present and agreed that the problem was centered from 126th Street to the south. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, that Ethan Avenue be resigned "NO <br /> PARKING" on the east side of the road from 126th Street to George Jungblut's <br /> property. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.3 Esther Weigel - Liquor Licenses <br /> Mrs. Weigel, new owner of the Silver Spur Saloon, thought that she could obtain her <br /> liquor license at the meeting. She was told to complete the necessary applications <br /> when the building was approximately 3/4's complete. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, to extend the reservation for an <br /> on-sale liquor license for Esther Weigel for 90 days. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
