The Mayor asked that the Clerk request that the interested parties <br /> attend several Planning Commission meetings and a selection will be made at the <br /> Council meeting of October 3rd. They are also to obtain a copy of the city's Comp <br /> Plan for their review. <br /> 6.3 Building Inspector <br /> Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. Mr. Johnson is to give a legal opinion <br /> regarding the placement of an approved mobile home on a parcel of property already <br /> having a residence. <br /> 6.5 Clerk <br /> The city received a letter from the Federal Emergency Management Agency regarding the <br /> confirmation of a meeting of September 28, at 9:30 AM, for a Community Assistance and <br /> Program Evaluation. There will also be a meeting that afternoon for local bankers, <br /> savings and loan associations, insurance and real estate agencies. Notice of this <br /> meeting to be published in the Forest Lake Times, White Bear Free Press and the <br /> St. Croix Free Press. <br /> 6.4 Fire Chief <br /> Ron Istvanovich was present to request authorization for the purchase of Fire Depart- <br /> ment equipment. <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, to authorize the Fire Chief to make pur- <br /> • chases in the amount of $1 ,060.00, for suction hose and couplings. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> Mayor McAllister requested the Fire Chief to obtain competitive prices for purchases <br /> over $200.00. <br /> 8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 8.1 1983 Sheriff Contract <br /> NOTION: Vail made motion, Peltier seconded, authorized the Mayor to sign the 1983 <br /> Law Enforcement Contract. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 8.2 Doug Kruse - Settlement Agreement <br /> Mr. Kruse is to be notified that this matter will be addressed at the Council meeting <br /> of August 15. <br /> 9.0 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 9.1 Budget Review Meeting (1984) <br />
