SEPTEMBER 49 1973 . � 9 <br /> Attorney Johnson had slso prepared a written report to the council and he commented <br /> upon the following items; regarding Norm Horton Sr., Mr. Horton had requested that his <br /> obtaining a bond be deleted from the conditions of his getting a junk yard license, <br /> as he couldn't seem to get one. Don Lease and attorney Johnson are to work together <br /> on the matter. Regarding Fischer Mining, the clerk's office is to correspond with <br /> them in regard to their letter of credit not yet received. <br /> Police Chief Gunderson also gave his written report to the council and explained a few <br /> items. Motion made by Carlson and seconded to erect "Slow Children" signs on the north <br /> side of 170th Street across from 4845 No. 170th and that "Slow" signs be erected for <br /> west bound traffic between railroad tracks and Fitzgerald Avenue No. on 147th Street. <br /> Motion made and seconded to amend previous motion to delete portion c oncerning signs <br /> on 170th street. Motion carried. Previous motion also carried. <br /> Regarding budget items for his department, Chief Gunderson requested that he be given <br /> a full time man, and the wages of the part time men be raised to 9$2.50 per hour. <br /> Regarding liquor license issuance, attorney Johnson stated Ordinance # 102 should be <br /> revised. Motion made by Carlson, seconded by Bjorum to have attorney amend Ordinance <br /> #102 for presentation to the council at the 17th meeting. Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Carlson had prepared a budget review which he explained to the council. Leroux <br /> suggested having a work session on the 1974 budget, as it has to be finalized on October <br /> 19 1973. Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Lease to have work session on 1974 budget <br /> on September 25 at 7:00 PM at the village hall. Motion carried. <br /> Nest item on the agenda was proposed revenue sharing for the period July 1, 1973 through <br /> June 30, 1974. Motion made by Carlson, and seconded to spend federal revenue sharing <br /> for the following: Public Safety — 32000.009 Public Transportation — $7683,00, and Recre— <br /> ation and Culture — 9$1500.00. Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Carslon and also gotten figures for a utility maintenance man and coordinator, <br /> which he explained to council. He. mentioned contracting to White Bear Lake for sewer <br /> maitenance and just hiring a coordinator. <br /> Mayor Carlson read aloud a letter submitted to the council from Mr. and Mrs. Frances <br /> Peltier concerning their opinion on the proposed zoning ordinance. Motion made by Carlson, <br /> seconded by Leroux to attach letter from Mr. & Mrs. Francis Peltier to the minutes of <br /> the September 4th council meeting. Csorlson, Leroux for, Bjorum, LaValle, Lease opposed. <br /> Motion failed. Bjorum suggested any letters received regarding the zoning ordinance be <br /> made a part of the public hearing on the matter. <br /> Motion made by Leroux and seconded to adjourn at 12:30 AM.
